Genetics degree part time
The major responsibility for the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Department of Pediatrics Genetic Division will be providing patient care at the Child Health Institute of New Jersey and The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Responsibilities include coordination of pediatric genetic clinic and in-patient service, pediatric genetic counseling, tracking patient results and maintenance of division statistics.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Master's Degree in Human Genetics/Genetic Counseling or a related field. Documentation of training in genetic counseling techniques and experience in genetic counseling at a site accredited by the American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG) or the American Board of Genetic Counseling required. Board certified or board eligible in genetic counseling by the ABMG or ABGC in in-patient and out-patient pediatric genetics.
Credential Required: Master's Degree; Genetic Counseling Training documentation
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Must be able to lift or exert force up to ten (10) pounds.
