Biotechnology B.Tech Colleges in India

B.Tech(Biotechnology)- Stands for Bachelor of Technology (Biotechnology) Typically, B.Tech(Biotechnology) is a four year course, minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate (10+2) with subjects such as physics, maths, biology and chemistry. Biotechnology is a combination of Biology and Technology and is an applied science. Subjects studied under this degree are Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Genetics and Engineering.

For admission in a bachelor’s degree, the candidate must have passed the higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subject such as biology, maths and chemistry. For IITs, It is mandatory to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examinations (J.E.E). The duration for the course is 4 years.

There are a lot of career opportunities in the field of biotechnology engineering. Graduates can seek employment in chemical and textile industries, agricultural sectors, pharmaceutical firms and manufacturing industries. Professionals in this career can also opt for teaching jobs in universities and colleges.
