24 ground-breaking projects have won a share of funding to develop their innovative ideas through the Industrial Biotechnology Catalyst. The Catalyst was set up in January 2014 to support UK researchers and companies to work together to bring their biotechnology innovations to market and to help cement the UK’s position as a world leader in this sector.
A study commissioned by BBSRC, EPSRC, Innovate UK and the Industrial Biotechnology Leadership Forum identifying opportunities for investment in UK scale up facilities in industrial biotechnology and bioenergy has been published today. The study documents major investment opportunities to build UK excellence and leadership in translating industrial biotechnology and bioenergy research into industrial products and processes.
