The Master of Biotechnology professional masters degree is designed to provide a higher level of specialised scientific learning together with professional skills training options in business, communications and management.
You will gain a sound understanding of the scientific technologies at the forefront of the emerging biotechnology industries, and knowledge in areas of science commercialisation, biotechnology regulation, scientific leadership and decision making.

Note: Whereas the majority of students in this program complete an industry project, there is the opportunity for high-achieving students to complete a research project and progress to research higher degree studies upon successful completion of their degree.

A limited number of Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) are available for Australian and New Zealand citizens and Permanent Resident visa holders undertaking this program. CSP will be awarded to students with a Grade Point Average of 80% or above in their approved undergraduate major. The Master of Biotechnology is affiliated as a Professional Science Masters (PSM) program with the Council of Graduate Schools (CGS).
The PSM degree is a distinctive advanced degree for those intending to pursue a career in the practice of science. PSM programs prepare graduates for high-level careers in science that have a strong emphasis on such skill areas as management, policy, entrepreneurship.
